WHAT IS VOLUNTEERING?
During Heineken Balaton Sound, volunteers work an average of 5 shifts, each lasting 6 hours, in various areas and tasks of the event. Participation in the programme requires a deposit, which is returned after the last shift. There is no monetary compensation for volunteer work, but you can participate in the festival’s activities for the entire duration of Heineken Balaton Sound (except for volunteer shifts)! Additionally, every volunteer receives a camping ticket for the staff campsite and one warm meal per day. Volunteers can experience what it’s like to work in a team, and their work is supported by mentors and volunteer coordinators.
SAFETY FIRST
Heineken Balaton Sound and the Festival Volunteer Center attach great importance to ensuring a safe festival experience. To this end, the Safety First role plays a significant role in the program. Volunteers in this role maintain direct contact with the festival-goers as well as the security and healthcare services. The team working here, with their alertness, social sensitivity, and even medical knowledge, contribute to the safe execution of the event.
